Standard Seating
Most ticket listings contain consecutive seats.
This means your seats will be located side-by-side in the same row unless otherwise disclosed in the listing details.
If a listing includes any seating exceptions, those details will be provided before purchase.
When Seats May Not Be Side-by-Side
Piggyback Seating
Some listings may contain piggyback seats.
This means the seats are positioned directly in front of and behind one another in consecutive rows rather than next to each other.
For example:
- Row G, Seat 5
- Row H, Seat 5
These seats are still grouped together and any such arrangement will be disclosed in the listing.
Large Group Orders
For some larger ticket purchases, seats may be split into smaller groups.
For example, a party of six may receive seating arranged as:
- 3 seats together
- 3 seats together
If a listing allows split seating, that information will be disclosed before purchase.
Understanding Odd and Even Numbered Seats
Some venues—particularly theaters and performing arts venues—use odd/even numbering systems.
For example, you may receive:
- Seat 1
- Seat 3
- Seat 5
- Seat 7
Although the numbers appear to skip, these seats are often directly next to each other.
This is simply part of the venue's seating layout and does not mean your group is separated.
